application or resume, we need a current copy of your driving record and the contact
information for three work-related references.
What is the rotation?
The rotation is normally 2 weeks on, 1 week off with crew change on Wednesday.What are the hours of work?
You work 12 hour shifts (8 hours at regular time and 4 at overtime) for 7 days, then for 7nights, followed by a week off.
What are the minimum qualifications and requirements to be considered?
We're looking for employees with the following characteristics:- a strong safety-minded work ethic
- the ability to work well with others
- good communication skills
- a willingness to accept responsibility
- a desire to learn
- physically able to work the long, demanding shifts
- have a valid H2S safety training ticket. This training is available through many oil and gas safety service companies. Local providers can be identified by doing an internet search for H2S training. First-aid training is also an asset.
- be 18 years of age or older, and legally able to work in Canada.
- have reliable transportation (or can make your own independent travel arrangements).
- agree to our code of conduct and safety policies, including the terms of our drug and alcohol policy.
How much can I make and what benefits does Stoneham offer?
We follow the industry pay-scale set out annually by the Canadian Association of Oilwell Drilling Contractors (CAODC). The basic hourly rates are below. In a non-camp setting, where employees are responsible for finding their own hotel accommodation and meals, an additional subsistence payment of $140/day is provided to cover living expenses. If living accommodation and meals are provided in a camp, a subsistence payment of $50/day to cover additional expenses.Wage per hour in CAD$ (2009)
