Stoneham Drilling Inc. ("Stoneham") welcomes the responsibility to perform our work in accordance with the Petroleum Industry Guiding Principles on safety. As President of this company, I would like it to be known by all those associated with Stoneham that the safety of our personnel will take priority over all other operations. Furthermore, we will strive to ensure all provincial and federal laws are maintained during the course of our work.
The following general responsibilities and accountabilities are to be communicated to Stoneham personnel at quarterly intervals and documented for my reference:
Senior Management: Is responsible for providing leadership, supervision and overall direction for the safety program.
Rig Managers: Are responsible for the on-site management of the Stoneham safety policies and procedures, and will lead by example.
Drillers: Are responsible for delivering, supervising and enforcing safe work practices, policies and procedures for their crew members, contractors and suppliers during all rig operations.
Employees: Have responsibility for familiarizing themselves with the company Safety Program and participating in the Safety Initiatives outlined by Stoneham, while conforming to all Government regulations.
Customer: Has the greatest power to influence safety on our sites, and as such is expected to promote and maintain the Petroleum Industry Guiding Principles and to ensure that safety is of vital importance to all site personnel.
Contractors/Suppliers: Are responsible to follow the safety initiatives of Stoneham while on our job sites.
The best results will come through a coordinated effort, mutual understanding, respect and consideration for all those involved with our safety program. Your efforts have my full support.
